Grimas Fluorescent Water Make-up is a water-based make-up, perfume-free, gluten-free and it lights up under black light. It is intended for facepainting and bodypainting. Water Make-up works like a watercolour. Grimas Water Make-up Fluor does not contain chemical preservatives (such as parabens). Grimas uses raw materials for cosmetics that are legally permitted and registered in REACH. From the permitted pigments and colourants, Grimas only uses those that can also be used around the eyes and mucous membranes. This also applies to the colours used for Grimas Water Make-up Fluor. The number of colours of Grimas Water Make-up Fluor is limited, because other colourants currently available on the market that are fluorescent under black light do not meet Grimas requirements for use near the eyes and mucous membranes. Grimas believes that this requirement should be obvious for cosmetics, particularly when it comes to make-up that can be used on children.
Working method Water Make-up (Pure) can be applied directly to the skin, but you can also first apply a layer of Grimas Cake Make-up. This has the advantage that the colours of Water Make-up (Pure) go on more evenly, are more vibrant and can then be removed more easily. Cake Make-up dries quickly and does not mix with Water Make-up (Pure). When working with Water Make-up (Pure), it is important not to apply it on skin that is too greasy. This way the make-up adheres better to the skin and the result lasts longer. Water Make-up works like a watercolour. Make the surface of the colour pasty with a brush or a make-up sponge and a little water. Do not work with the product too thick, but not too watery either. Water Make-up (Pure) dries within 15 seconds. If you do not want the colours to blend into each other, wait until the first layer of colour has dried before working over it. Change the water used to rinse the brushes regularly and preferably work with two containers of water: one for light shades and one for dark ones. Water Make-up (Pure) can also be applied to hair, as long as it has not been treated (permed, dyed, bleached, coloured with henna). Use a toothbrush for this.
Removal: You can gently wash the skin with lukewarm water and soap (or shampoo) to remove a large part of it. Massage briefly and rinse with lukewarm water. Rubbing too hard with water and soap or shampoo can irritate the skin. If necessary, you can cleanse the skin further with a cleansing milk or cream. Massage briefly and remove with a soft tissue. Do not use Afschmink, as it contains waxes and oils that actually cause Water Make-up to stick to the skin. Do not use pre-moistened cleansing wipes. When a colour shadow remains on the skin, you can remove it with Grimas Cleansing Lotion. If the skin is dry after cleansing, you can apply a restorative cream. Hair that has been coloured with Water Make-up (Pure) should be washed with shampoo.
